Like most web developers I like to tinker and experiment with the wonders of the world wide web. Here's one such experiment that came out pretty good...

CSS shape maker

Modern CSS makes it easy to produce simple shapes like stars, squares, circles and hearts purely from code. With this program I wanted to make a shape generator that randomly deposited these shapes across the screen in different colours. To make it a little more interesting I also connected this program to Colour Lovers so that it would randomly pick a colour palette - increasing the number of unique possibilites.

This program was written to work in Google Chrome only. No other testing has been undertaken. If you run the page at full screen you can make some pretty nice desktop backgrounds, like these:
